Network compatibility

Alwon units are fully compatible with any network

SIM cards

Any SIM card can be used and both 'pay as you talk' and 'pay monthly' cards are compatible. When using a ready-to-go card is necessary to make sure that the card credit doen't run out. Otherwise the unit will stop working.

SMS Messages

SMS messages contain 2 pieces of basic information: phone number from where the message is sent and written message included in the SMS.
Messages will be received automatically in the user's mobile phone.

When is the SMS received?

SMS message is received almost immediately after the unit sends it. Delay depends on the network but is usually less than ten seconds.

When the mobile phone is switched off or has no coverage the SMS will be received soon after the network signal is available. Alert SMS sent from the unit will always be received by the user.

Self Test Unit

Selft test Unit allows to receive SMS from the unit periodically. It verifies GSM line availabilityand also that the unit is working properly.

Unit self test can be set up hourly, daily, weekly and monthly. It can also be deactivated.
